Every Site Coordinator should be proud of the important contribution they are making to shoreline health. Your dedication to shoreline cleanups and the commitment you show year after year is something we are very thankful for. We really can’t say it enough.
New this year, we are introducing our Site Coordinator Award of Achievement to honour those stand-out individuals who exemplify what it means to be a Site Coordinator. This very special award will be given to two individuals each year according to the following categories:
- School Group – for cleanups led by an educational facility
- Community Based – for cleanups led by any other type of participating group (this means any type of cleanup that isn’t organized by a school group)
Award recipients will receive a special gift package, as well as recognition on the website and in our final report. If you’d like to nominate someone for this award, please fill out the nomination form located in the new award section at www.vanaqua.org/cleanup/awards.php. (Cette page Web sera disponible en français la semaine prochaine.)
Please be sure to submit all nominations before the deadline of Oct 1st, 2007 in order to be considered. You can even nominate yourself!!
We look forward to reading about all of the outstanding examples of Site Coordinators across Canada, and wish you all the best with this year’s cleanups!
